CLUB MATCHES 2012
There are 12 Matches in the Club Aggregate Series, and points are given for the positions gained in each of the Matches. One point for finishing first, and twenty points for finishing twentieth. . The worst three finishes can be discarded, with the best SEVEN places being counted, and the angler with the lowest points is declared the winner. The prize for winning the series is a FREE Club Membership for the following season. Places on the Matches are usually in great demand, and so we ask that you book your place by telephone to the Club Match Secretary, Steve Bate, on 07900 087005 by 6.00pm on the Friday before the match day.
There are 3 other Matches in the Club Match Calendar, which are the Clive Hutter Memorial Match, in memory of our past Chairman,Treasurer and Founder Member, Clive Hutter. The second Match is the Victoria Cup Match in July, and finally the Annual Fur & Feather Match, which normally takes place in October/November, on a neutral water.
Please note that to qualify to fish in the Fur & Feather Match in 2012, Members will have to have fished at least 3 of the Aggregate Matches.
Please keep an eye on this page as the venues for the matches may change due to fishing conditions etc.
ALL Club Matches take place on a Sunday, with the draw taking place at 8.00 am at the venue, and fishing will take place between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm. Members are reminded that the water chosen for the Club Match will be closed from Midnight on the Saturday prior to the Match, until one hour after the Match ends.
